As the opioid epidemic in the U.S. continues, deaths that involved synthetic opioids other than methadone (including fentanyl and fentanyl analogs) continued to rise with more than 28,400 overdose deaths in 2018. Too many families continue to suffer and lose loved ones to the disease of addiction.

RCA at Capital Region offers comprehensive, individualized treatment services for a wide range of substance abuse issues, including alcohol, opiates, heroin, and methamphetamine. The campus offers a variety of evidence-based treatment protocols designed to effectively treat drug and alcohol addiction, as well as support long-term, meaningful recovery for patients and their families. Additional patient services include yoga and mindfulness meditation; family, group and individual counseling; educational seminars and outpatient treatment programs.

Dr. Jeffrey Gall, Medical Director

Before beginning his career in medicine, Dr. Gall spent a year and a half on active duty for training in the USMC Reserve, completing Boot Camp at Paris Island. He then went on to earn his Emergency Medicine Board Certification from George Washington University in 2006 and later in Addiction Medicine.

Amy Brinkley

Amy Brinkley, Clinical Trainer

Amy Brinkley, MSS, LCSW brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and skill to her position as Clinical Site Trainer at MCAT. Over her 25-year career, she has worked with children, adolescents, adults and families with mental health and Co-occurring Disorders in Outpatient and Residential settings. She has held clinical, supervisory, operations, and business development positions. Most recently, Amy was the Executive Director of Residential Programs at the Village, a Sanctuary Certified Residential Treatment Program in suburban Philadelphia.

Amy has specialized in providing quality treatment for people with trauma, ADHD, anxiety, and mood disorders. In her current role, she is committed to assisting the staff in providing high-quality, trauma-informed treatment and services through education, training and coaching.

Amy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Kent State University and a Master of Social Services from Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. She has advanced training in Trauma, Clinical Supervision, Conflict Resolution, and family counseling. She has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania since 2003. Amy joined RCA in June 2017
