Position Overview:

Group Facilitator is responsible for the delivery of RCA Substance Abuse curriculum for patients in our residential and IOP recovery programs, as well as supervision of A&D trainee status staff. The curriculum, and training, will be provided for the facilitator to ensure quality and consistency in its delivery. The facilitator will be responsible for 15-20 1-hour groups per week and trainee staff supervision. The facilitator will also be required to attend staff meetings and trainings as assigned.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that groups are delivered professionally and effectively to meet desired learning objectives.
  • Provide 1 hour of supervision, and training as needed to A&D Trainee status employees each week.
  • Engage with the recovery community in a culturally competent way, in and outside the group setting.
  • Complete group notes and all other paperwork as assigned
  • Complete supervision documentation and monthly group observation for each trainee.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree minimum of 2 years of related experience, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Maryland CAC-AD and CAC approved Supervisors License
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
